corn
Time to be thinking about corn. I want it to be sprouted by june 1st. Need to get tthe garden tilled. Bought some interesting ears of choclo in Cuzco for my breeding program. Customs confiscated them when I told them I was going to grow them. On previous trip was told it was ok if I was just an amature-this time no. Would have been ok as an ornamental. Is this seed company monopoly stuff? Talked to an informed guy in Arica about corn. They double crop it there, have been for centuries. Would like to try some of their choclo. Probably not photo sensitive and early.

More corn talk? How about shrubs, some are good to have in the garden. I'm working on getting some blueberries going down by the pond. But then you may be thinking of politics about now. There's this shrub in the white house, not a good place for him. Doing a lot of damage. Out here on my Oregon tree farm I have had to combat the bushes and shrubs that try to strangle the trees. I prefer using a chain saw, while most foresters are partial to poisons that they spray from helicopters. Well, I don't think a chain saw or poisons are good tools for getting rid of the shrub. The CIA tried poisons to get rid of Castro without success, and I just do not think a chainsaw would work well with that shrub. The chaisaw works good with vine maple and simular shrubs. There are a lot of vine maples around here. They grow simularly to Japanese maples, but the leaves are shaped a bit different. Wonder if they could be crossed? Think they are more drought tolerent than the Japanese.
Hibreeds. If I cross a vine maple with a japanese maple, I should have hibrid vigor. When I cross a southern hemisphere indian corn with north american, it should have hibrid vigor. In a bit of a squeeze, waiting for a load of chicken shit. Want to spread it and then till it in for my corn patches or hills. Getting close to june 1st. Had a lot of rain and the creek came up brown. Bob afraid of getting stuck in a wet field- said he would think of tomorrow- but rain predicted for tonight. Done lots of weeding and uncovered seedlings- want to mulch with Bob's chicken shit. Want time for it to compost and break down in the soil. Still getting oyster mushrooms off the big fallen alder that flushed this fall. Bought a couple of jars of oysters-zapped with garlic sprouts and chard and spaghety sauce and spices.
Got some dried cayane hot peppers as well as dried mushrooms. But still, about corn. Need to wait for the ground to dry out more before I get the corn patch tilled. Getting the chicken shit first should work well. Travellers talk a lot about shit. My shit got kind of runny early in my last trip. I thought it might have been because I went from a high fiber brown rice/wheat and veggey diet to a white diet. I ate a lot of bananas y tunas y liquados and adjusted; good solid turds. Woopee! Another shitty tale. Used to have my own chickens and plenty of shit. Had other kinds of shit. A mix is probably best. I like to piss on my compost pile. They say urine is high in nitrogen. Soak it up with mulch. Bird shit is rich because birds mix their piss and shit. Really heats up the compost pile. Bob's chicken shit comes mixed with wood chips and heats up nice
Corn and shit. We are talking politics again. Bull shit and corn. Somewhere in Texas is a town that is missing its village idiot. Corny, but unfortunately true. Chicken shit now , makes me think of chicken hawks. Who are the chicken hawks in the white house and cabinet?
